Barbecue lovers in Plant City have reason to rejoice, as Pig Jam is back and in full swing.
On Friday, Nov. 18, the first day of the event, competitive teams started cooking and vendors started selling. There were plenty of plots occupied by Plant City teams and vendors, such as Poppell Insurance, Smokin' Aces, Second Hand Smoke, Hardwood BBQ, Wombat Down BBQ and BackMan BBQ, plus a setup for the Lions Club that had students from Durant, Plant City and Strawberry Crest high schools involved.
Pig Jam will re-open at the Randy L. Larson Softball Four-Plex parking area, 1500 S. Park Road, at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, when the competition winners will be announced.
