Leaders from across Plant City gathered Tuesday, Aug. 25, to honor Joe Sedita with the 2015 Plant City Family YMCA Strong Leader Award.
Sedita, a former Outstanding Citizen of the Year award recipient, is highly involved with community efforts around Plant City. In addition to being the founder of Sedita Kilton & Company CPAs PL and Sedita Kilton Life & Wealth Management LLC, Sedita has also worked with the Boy Scouts of America as a cubmaster and assistant scoutmaster, and has worked as a Sunday School teacher. Sedita has served on multiple committees for a variety of community organizations, including the Greater Plant City Chamber of Commerce and South Florida Baptist Hospital.
Sedita, now retired, continues to lead an active lifestyle. He enjoys riding motorcycles and kayaking, in addition to spending time with his wife, Paula. The couple has two sons, J.P. and Jeff.
The Strong Leader Award is presented by the Plant City Family YMCA each year to a member of the community who embodies the ideals of the organization and promotes a strong sense of community.
