It was a teacher talent showcase on Thursday, Aug. 20, at the Expo Hall at the Florida Strawberry Festival fairgrounds. New teachers from all Plant City schools participated in skits alongside their school’s principals for New Teacher Coffee, sponsored by the Greater Plant City Chamber of Commerce. Teachers were welcomed to Plant City with breakfast, door prizes and table centerpieces made out of school supplies.
Wilson Elementary School won once again for Overall Best Skit, with Robinson Elementary and Tomlin Middle taking the cake for elementary and secondary schools. Teachers are finishing pre-planning through the end of this week, and students will head back to school on Tuesday, Aug. 25.
