The streets of Historic Downtown were lined with spectators anxiously awaiting the 2014 Plant City Christmas Parade Friday, Dec. 5. From marching bands to Santa, the long promenade lasted more than hour. A police escort led the way, children caught beads and candy, and music pumped from many of the floats. Stopping in front of the judges’ table at McCall Park, many schools and performers vied for the chance to take home one of four trophies. The 2014 winners include:
