Gary Allan brings rousing performance to festival

Gary Allan brought an authentic energy and soulful attitude to his concert during the opening night of the Florida Strawberry Festival. Playing everything from his classing hits like “Nothing on but the Radio,” to more modern favorites like “Every Storm (Runs Out of Rain),” Allan had the crowd singing along all evening. Throughout the evening Allan tossed used guitar picks to the eager crowd and came back for an encore at the end of the show.

The singer said he always made it a mission to stay true to himself and hopes that reflects in the wide variety of music he produces.

“I’ve always felt that music evolves and you have to evolve with it or get left behind,” Allan said. “However, while music may evolve, you have to stay true to yourself. Each of my albums represents where I was in life at the time I cut the album. Each one is a piece of me.”

This was Allan’s first time performing at the Florida Strawberry Festival. For more information on Allan’s inspirations, favorite memories and thoughts on the festival check out our preview of the show.
