A Women's Tea event at GracePoint church combined inspirational spirituality, Mother's Day celebrations and a quaint meal in its sold out event.
GracePoint Plant City’s NextGen Ministry held a Women’s Tea event in honor of Mother’s Day. The festive session featured best selling author Deborah Coty, who discussed how women were “Too Blessed to be Stressed.”
Women and children wore their finest apparel and enjoyed a tea, lunch and desserts at GracePoint. Men from the church wore bowties and ties and served the guests.
“One of the goals of our NextGen children and teen ministry, which we launched last year, is to create opportunities to develop intergenerational relationships,” Kerry Bergman, children’s ministry directory, said in a news release. “We want to not only build the family unit by creating special bonding opportunities but also want the entire church family to provide support for one another.”
Coty is an inspirational speaker and author of the popular book series, “Too Blessed To Be Stressed,” which has more than 500,000 copies sold. She discussed “floating rather than sinking in the stress pool of life,” as well as how to know God deeper and finding peace.
The event sold out weeks in advance. Tulips lined the stage and were sent home with the attendees. The flowers were supposed to be shipped to Orlando and after issues with the order GracePoint was called and asked if they would like to receive the massive shipment as a donation. The flower arrangements were approximately $3,500 worth of product and the church was shocked to find out they perfectly matched the color scheme already in place for the event.
