The Plant City Elks Lodge wrapped up its week-long Veterans’ Day celebration with a Nov. 11 barbecue.
The event, catered by Mission BBQ, featured speeches from Mayor Rick Lott, County Commissioner Al Higginbotham and more as well as the color guard by Scout Troop 744. Judy Wise and other organizers of the event were presented with a proclamation from the city for their hard work helping organize the week-long celebration. The proclamation was presented by Higginbotham as his last act in political office before retirement.
