Things got gladiatorial Thursday during the Greater Plant City Chamber of Commerce's monthly Business After Hours event.
Jason Jones, the chamber's chairman, hosted the event at the office of his business, Advantage Restoration & Contracting, and its neighbor, Plant City Boxing Gym. The monthly mix-and-mingle event featured life-sized Rock 'Em Sock 'Em-esque robots guests could climb into for a pain-free slugfest. The event also featured sparring demonstrations from some of the gym's top fighters including Ricky "Cowboy" Tomlinson, a local up-and-coming fighter, and Yamaguchi Falcao, a world-ranked former Olympian currently fighting with Oscar De La Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions.
