Plant City-area farmers, dignitaries, law-enforcement officials and politicians attended the 2014 Farm Credit Strawberry Salute Breakfast March 3, at Plant City’s First Baptist Church.
Florida Commissioner of Agriculture Adam Putnam again served as the guest speaker. Putnam shared information about a recent trip to Panama, with which the United States has entered free trade agreements. Putnam assured Plant City that its famous strawberries would be in Panamanian supermarkets by next year.
