A sweet time in the blueberry fields

The 11th annual Blueberry Festival is now underway. Hosted by Keel & Curley the event is April 14, April 15, April 21 and April 22 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

Admission is free and there is live entertainment, craft and food venders, a kids zone, limited edition Strawberry Shortcake Wine and more. The winery is also offering a u-pick in its blueberry fields and $10 blueberry wines. 

Joey Fatone, formerly of NSYNC, brought his food truck “Fat One’s Hot Dog’s & Italian Ice” to the event and mingled with visitors. Other vendors like Blessings of Home and Aunt Neci’s brought fresh and organic goods to the festival, selling things like blueberry jam and strawberry butter. 

The event filled one parking lot by 8:15 a.m. will a steady stream of cars flowing in all day. If you want the best berries and closest spot be sure to get there early.
