Chris Williams, of Plant City, was named Pharmacy Times’ Pharmacist of the Year at the 2015 Next-Generation Pharmacist Awards Gala last month at Universal Studios.
Williams is a pharmacy advocate for the Manatee County Government Center for Health and Lifestyle Management. He stood out as a nominee because of the pharmacist-patient relationship he develops. Along with being inspired by his patients, Williams is also inspired by his student interns. He believes the industry should be open to new ideas from young pharmacists and patients.
