PCPD searching for armed robbery suspect

The Plant City Police Department is looking for a suspect that was involved in an armed robbery on Nov. 25.

At about 7:20 p.m., an unknown black male suspect armed with a handgun approached an elderly female in the parking lot of The Strawberry Patch, 1703 E. Baker St. The suspect demanded money and struggled with the victim over her purse. Striking her on the head with the handgun, she fell to the ground and lost consciousness.

The suspect fled in a dark-colored vehicle, unknown make/model.

The suspect is described as being a young adult and thin build, under 5-foot-10.
