PCHS Interact Club presents Easter treats to kids at Florida Baptist Children’s Home

Kids at the Florida Baptist Children's Home in Lakeland got plenty of treats this past Easter, though they weren't left by a bunny.

The members of Plant City High School's Interact Service Club, led by club president Ashlyn Yarbrough and club sponsor JoBeth Newsome, joined forces with businesses throughout Plant City and Lakeland to provide 38 children with Easter gifts.

Each child received a basket full of goodies, including books, Target gift cards, candy, toys, makeup, cups, toothbrushes and more. Major donors included Johnson-Adams & Associates LLC, South Florida Baptist Hospital, Florida Strawberry Festival, Dental Associates of Florida, Wen-Lake Corp. (Wendy's), David and Julie Cole and Dub and Pec McGinnes.

2016 marked the third year that the Interact Club sponsored Easter gifts to the Florida Baptist Children's Home.
