The Plant City Junior Woman's Club announced that it appointed eight new members to its executive board on Thursday, Jan. 14.
Kendelle Jimenez, Ilene Chavez, Mackensi Beers, Barbara Dolan, Jamie Sammons, Sarah Lenhart, Racquel Sturgis and Betty Medina were appointed to the board for 2016. Jimenez will serve as president.
The club is working on fundraisers for its annual Shoe Project, which provides new shoes and socks to needy elementary school students. It also plans to work on various projects with Walden Lake Elementary School.
