One-of-a-kind Corvette to be raffled off at Strawberry Festival

Stingray Chevrolet has created a one-of-a-kind Corvette to raffle off at the 2016 Florida Strawberry Festival.

A 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray will be given away at 5 p.m.Sunday, March 13, at the Stingray Chevrolet exhibit on the festival grounds. The car, valued at approximately $70,000, features an eight-speed automatic transmission, chrome Stingray wheels, grey leather interior and a custom “candy strawberry red” exterior created specifically for this vehicle.

“Having vast in-house experience, Stingray has done several custom color Stingray cars,” said Stingray Chevrolet Owner Steve Hurley. “But none have required the extensive work this car has required because of the special paint process.”

Tickets for the drawing are $5 each and are available for purchase through March 11 at StingrayChevrolet.com and at the dealership located off exit 22 on Interstate 4 in Plant City. Tickets can also be purchased each day of the Florida Strawberry Festival at Stingray Chevrolet’s vehicle display on the event grounds.

All proceeds from the raffle benefit Unity in the Community, a Plant City organization that contributes to local youth organizations and other groups who provide assistance to underprivileged families. Stingray Chevrolet has raised nearly $600,000 for Unity in the Community since beginning its annual vehicle giveaway seven years ago.

“Thanks to the generosity of Steve and Susan Hurley, you have a chance at owning a Corvette that is truly like no other,” said Florida Strawberry Festival Assistant Manager Lee Bakst. “But most of all, you contribute to one of our community’s finest charitable organizations.”
