One person is dead from a second crash in the last week on Interstate 4 near County Line Road.
At about 8:23 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, Christian John Rayburn, 16, and Devon Ryan Wilson, 23, both of Lakeland, were driving in a 2008 Nissan east on I-4. It is unsure at this time which passenger was driving the vehicle, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The driver lost control of the vehicle near County Line Road. The vehicle then collided with the guardrail at the overpass.
Wilson died at the crash site. Rayburn is in serious condition at Lakeland Regional Medical Center.
