A 51-year-old Madeira Beach resident was killed in a car accident on Interstate 4, west of County Line Road, at about 3 a.m. Friday, July 31.
Robert Lee Haas was traveling east on I-4 on a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle in the center lane. When he switched to the inside lane, his motorcycle collided with the right rear of a 2014 Mazda driven by Payge Madeleine Heingarte, 19, of Cape Canaveral.
Haas drove off the roadway and hit a concrete barrier wall, overturned and was ejected from the motorcycle.
Haas was transported to Lakeland Regional Medical Center, where he later died.
