Valerie Lorraine Baker, 50, of Dade City, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015, in Tampa, after a short battle with cancer.
She was born July 10, 1964, in Plant City, to Joseph J. and Bertha Lene Cannon and was a lifelong area resident.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Bertha Cannon; niece, Nicole Cannon; and mother-in-law, Ruth Baker. She is survived by her children, Chelsea Crutcher, Casi Gant (Robert), Peyton Baker and Jarhett Baker; grandchildren, Coleman, Haylee, Riley, Madison and Ashtyn; parents, Joseph and Marjorie Cannon; siblings, Joseph Cannon Jr. (Mary), Cynthia Gude (David) and Stephen Barthle (Lana); and numerous close extended family and friends.
Services were held Saturday, Jan. 17, at the Dade City Church of God. Hodges Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
