Roy Oliver Rayburn, 72, of Dover, died July 3, 2016, in Land O Lakes.
A native of Plant City, he was the son of Clarence and Helen Crowley Rayburn. He served in the Army National Guard and loved to read. He was a historian, an avid sportsman and taught at Brandon High School for 30 years.
He is survived by his siblings, Fred, Shirley and Les.
A memorial service was held July 11, at Haught Funeral Home in Plant City.
