Robert Lee Campbell “Big Daddy,” 88, of Plant City, died June 22, 2015.
He was born in Union County, Mississippi. He was a member of Northside Baptist in Plant City, and a member and past master of the Masonic Lodge #770 in Memphis, Tennessee. He was a retired supervisor with Procter and Gamble.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Bettie Pope Campbell; sons, Robert Arnold Campbell, of Lakeland, Donald Wayne Campbell (Dottie), of Mississippi, and David Louis Campbell (Peggy), of Texas; siblings, Gaylia Guthrie, Sara Ruth Huff and Donald Campbell, of Tennessee; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Layne Campbell; and daughter-in-law, Linda Campbell.
A celebration of life was held June 27 at Hopewell Funeral Home, 6005 CR 39 S. Committal followed at Hopewell Memorial Gardens.
