Rachel V. Blanton, 86, died Nov. 15, 2013.
She was born Dec. 1, 1926, in Shady Grove, to Simon and Elizabeth (Slaughter) Walters.
She married Marvin E. Blanton, who is deceased.
Mrs. Blanton was a homemaker and attended the Landmark Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Samuel E. (Beverly); a daughter, Nadine White; three grandchildren, Paula, Holly and Bubba; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Burial took place at Mt. Enon Cemetery.
