Margie Nantz Ballard, 87, died Nov. 1, 2015.
Mrs. Ballard was born March 6, 1928, to the late William and Lucy (Bollinger) Nantz. She lived in Gastonia, North Carolina, until moving to Florida in 2011.
She is survived by her children, David Ballard, of West Union, South Carolina, Judy Duncan, of Gastonia, North Carolina and Sylvia Baker, of Lakeland, Florida; 20 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Ballard; four brothers; and one granddaughter.
A celebration of life was held Saturday, Nov. 7, at Berea Baptist Church in Gastonia, North Carolina, where Dr. Rick Ivey presided. Interment followed at the church cemetery.
