Formerly of Plant City, she was born in Walton, New York, the daughter of Charles and Florence (Hall) Webb. She attended and graduated from the Walton school district where she remained in contact with family and friends throughout her life. She enjoyed volunteering, supporting her church along with being a member of the choir and traveling while a resident of Florida up to the passing of her husband, Jim, in June 2016. She made it a point of everyday living to stay in touch with everyone, often through her iPad. She was a caring and loving wife, mom, stepmom, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother. In particular, she was so very supportive of her autistic grandson, Douglas Acker, whom she adored and stayed in regular contact with.

She was also preceded in death by her first husband, John D. Acker; brother, Richard Webb (Margie Lou), and Sgt. Adam C. Munn, USMC, son of Art; and niece, Betsy Munn, of Walton.

She is survived by her sons, John D. Acker (Suzanne), Charles F. Acker (girlfriend Francine Pietrowski) and David R. Acker (girlfriend Chris Ritts); stepson Terry McCann (girlfriend Pam Seifert), nieces, Betsy, Ellen and Nancy; and several grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 19, at Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton, New York, to celebrate the life of both Kathryn and Jim McCann. A graveside service with full military salute will follow.

The family asks that all donations be made in her name to donate@autismspeaks.org or to Autism Speaks, 1 E. 33rd St., 4th Floor, New York, NY 10016.
