Janis Aaron, a lifelong resident of Plant City, died July 30, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer. She will be missed dearly.
Born Oct. 18, 1947, she was one of seven children born to the late Burke T. and Ruth Lillian “RL” Lay.
She is survived by brothers, Kent and Keith Lay; sisters, Karen Hunt, Michelle Walker and Patrice Toole; children, Laan Lay-Cruickshank, Julie Van Gorden-Pitt, Robert Aaron, Douglas and Leah Aaron; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; along with countless other friends and family.

A memorial service was held Aug. 17, at the Women’s Center, Plant City. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made.
