Gladys Mae Layton Walton, 91, of Plant City, died Feb. 13, 2015.
She was a member of Berea Baptist Church (Parkway), Plant City. She is survived by her son, Kenny (Peggy) Walton; siblings, Cecil Layton, Ida Bledsoe and Charles Layton; grandchildren, Ashley, Adam, Benji, Shaun, Micki and Matt; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Echo Walton Sr.; and son, Echo “EJ” Walton Jr.
A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at Hopewell Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends beginning at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Springhead Cemetery, Lakeland.
