Frederick Haarmann, 86, of Plant City, died May 4, 2015.
A native of Babylon, New York, he was the son of the late Adam and Elisabeth Haarman. He was the beloved husband of the late Joan F. Haartmann. Mr. Haarmaan was a veteran of the Navy. He was a parishioner of St. Clement Catholic Church, where he served in numerous ministries, including: the Knights of Columbus, Eucharistic minister, the Legion of Mary, Parish Council, Faith Formation, nursing home and hospital visitation and the parish choir. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, he enjoyed tennis, traveling and spending quality time with family.
Survivors include children, Lori Russell (Ted), Peter F. Haarmann, Paul E. Haarmann and Joseph J. Haarmann (Nancy); sister, Joan Jacobelli; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Frederick F. Haarman Jr.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. May 15, at St. Clement Catholic Church. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in the family’s name to the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society. Online condolences may made at HaughtFuneralHome.com.
