Pamela Judy Johnston, 53, of Plant City, Fla., passed away on Jan. 28, 2022. 

She was the daughter of the late David and Judy Eastman Coon, mother still survives.

Survivors include her birthmother Sue Hipsag, daughters, Judy Johnston, Jennifer Johnston, brother Glenn Eastman, granddaughter Addison Snapp. 

Pamela loved to refinish furniture, reading books, crosswords, singing. She cherished her dogs Bella Ray and Luke. Pamela was the number one sales associate at Geico.

Eva Marie Christie Taylor

Eva Marie Christie Taylor passed away on Jan. 31, 2022. Formerly a Plant City resident for many years, she lived in Lake Wales at the time of her death.

Born in Lacoochee, Fla., Jan. 12, 1949. Eva was the only daughter of six children born to Kirby ‘Buck’ Christie and Martha Lane Christie of Plant City; she was also the youngest.

Preceded in death by her parents, her brother Marvin Christie, her spouse Charles W Taylor, she is survived by their two children Barbara Ann ‘Barbie’ Wynne (Kelly), Charles ‘Chuck’ Taylor (Candy), and grandchildren: Kristina Rayl, Keith Wynne, Kara Taylor as well as great-grandchildren: Jordan, Tristen and Nick Rayl. Also surviving are four brothers: Robert (Donna), Wesley (Sandra), Willis (Carol), Tommy (Ruby) and many much-loved nieces and nephews.

Eva also leaves behind what she called her  ‘Sisters In Her Heart’: Rita Christie, wife of Marvin; Martha Taylor Pitts; Nell Taylor O’Brien and Sheila Shultz.  Eva was a great fisherwoman. When she had to give it up, she moved to Lake Walk In Water to be near both her brother, Robert, and the water. She loved them both; both gave her solace.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Feb. 12, 2022 at 12 p.m. on the shores of the lake she loved, officiated by Rita Christie.

Edna Mae (Bumgarner) Barron

Edna Mae (Bumgarner) Barron, 61, of Plant City, Fla., passed away on Jan. 25, 2022.She is preceded in death by her father, Ernest Daniel Bumgarner, her mother, Ruth Georgia Bumgarner, her brothers, Vernon (Joe) Bryant, Harold Bumgarner, James (Jim) Bumgarner, and her sister, Sharon Belcher. She is survived by her sisters, Freda Howell, Diane Martin, Brenda Jones, and Martha Bumgarner. She was loved by her family very much and will be missed by so many.
