Elizabeth Alice Boruff
Elizabeth Alice Boruff, 68, of Lakeland, died Dec. 9, at her home.
Born March 24, 1944, in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Claude Holder and the late Jelemma Peeples Holder.
Survivors include a daughter, Alice Elliott; brother, Charles Holder; and sister, Patsy Gaskins.

Calvin Ellis Jr.
Calvin Ellis Jr., 83, of Plant City, died Dec. 10, at South Florida Baptist Hospital.
He was a veteran of the U.S. military and a retired chemist with Exxon Petroleum.
Funeral services were Dec. 15, at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, Plant City. Arrangements were handled by Winslow Honors Funeral Chapel.
Eugene Johnson
Eugene Johnson, 88, of Dover, died Dec. 8.
Born Feb. 14, 1924, in Opp, Ala., he was the son of the late Homer Johnson and the late Ruth Hendrix Johnson. He was the husband of Audrey Haynes Johnson.
Mr. Johnson was the owner of Johnson Tire Company, in Tampa, a 32nd-degree mason at John Darling Masonic Lodge. He also was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army in Europe and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for gallantry in action.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rena Lynn McGinnis.
Survivors include sons, Roger (Cheryl) and Ralph Johnson; daughter, Reita (Truman) Gillette; brothers, Harold and Donnie Ray Johnson; grandchildren, Jenna Johnson, Melissa Gillette, Mandy Cook and Mike McGinnis; and three great-grandchildren.
Interment will be in Florida National Cemetery.
