Sheilah (Saunders) Platzer

Sheilah (Saunders) Platzer, 85, of Plant City, Fla., passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2026.
Sheilah was born in Alma, Michigan. She is survived by her two children, Mark and Michelle, and her grandchildren, Sammy and Mia.
Sheilah and her late husband, Daniel Platzer, both enjoyed long careers with GTE, where they each worked for more than 25 years. After retiring, Sheilah discovered a new passion for showing and competing in Rally trials with her beloved Golden Retrievers. Over the years, her dogs brought her great joy, companionship, and countless cherished memories.
Sheilah will be remembered for the love she had for her family, her devotion to her Golden Retrievers, and the joy she found in the simple things she liked to do. She leaves behind a legacy of love and many wonderful memories that will be cherished by her family and all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, you may donate to the Imperial Polk Obedience Club of Lakeland in memory of Sheilah Platzer.
