Darice Downs
Darice Downs transitioned peacefully from this life to her eternal life with Jesus Christ on June 1, 2025.
Her faith was unwavering, and it showed clearly in her steadfast love for her family. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Daniel Downs. They shared a solid foundation of love and commitment that defied the odds and inspired all who knew them. As well as her two daughters, Sarah Keel (Ray) and Samatha Taylor (Joey) and her grandchildren, Ella, Samuel, Declan, and Alexa.
Darice was a selfless woman of God, and it showed in every aspect of her life. She worked as a nurse for over 30 years, caring for others was her calling in life and she lived it with purpose. She was the heart and soul of her family. Always available for them despite her busy schedule. She had a gift of making everyone feel like a priority. She was especially fond of her grandchildren who lovingly called her Nana Banana.
While her absence here is deeply felt, her family is comforted by her faith in Jesus Christ and knowing she is eternally restored, and they will meet again one day.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Shiloh Baptist Church in Plant City on June 7, 2025 at 10:30 am.
All who knew Darice and would like to share in this celebration are welcome to attend.
