Carl Davis
Carl Davis, 88, of Dover, Fla., born on Feb. 24, 1937, in Pleasant Grove, Fla., entered into eternal rest on May 8, 2025. He was a 65-year member and former deacon and Sunday school teacher of First Baptist Church Dover, and former co-owner and operator of Baker Hide and Fur Company. He loved his family dearly, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and coaching youth baseball, and was an avid fan of Tampa Bay Rays, and Florida State Seminoles. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Amelia Grace Davis; children, Timothy “Tim” Carl Davis (Julia) of Birmingham, and Tina Grace Sikes (Steve) of Dover; grand-children, Walt Davis (Rachel), Grace Ann Davis Ward (Tim), Shane Sikes (Kristen), and Spencer Sikes (Tiffany); 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, Charles Davis (Miriam), and Geneva Smith; and many other extended family, and friends.
