He was a Veteran of the United States Army, a fourth generation cattle rancher and farmer and land conservationist. He loved his family dearly, was generous with his time and resources, and was an avid Tampa Bay Bucs fan. He is survived by wife of 74 years, Shirley Gill; son, Anthony Gill (Debbie) of Ft. Lonesome; grandchildren, Ryan (Kaylie), and Kaitlyn (Michael); great-grandchildren, Eli, Ella, Cuttler, Doc McCoy, Hattie, Emma, Maeley, and Blaze; son, Rusty Gill (Teresa) and his family; and many other family, and friends. A funeral service was held May 6, 2026, at Hopewell Funeral Home, 6005 South County Road 39, Plant City, FL.
