Ann Lucille “Lucy” Shorkey

Ann Lucille “Lucy” Shorkey, 66, of Valrico, Fla., born on Aug. 13, 1958, in Tampa, Fla., entered into eternal rest on Apr. 10, 2025. Expressions of condolences at www.HopewellFuneral.com.

Roger Denton Smith

Roger Denton Smith, 80, was born at Westover Air Force Base in Springfield Massachusetts on Oct. 20, 1944, he entered into eternal rest on Apr. 10, 2025.

William “Jack” Harwell, Jr.

William “Jack” Harwell, Jr., 92, of Plant City, Fla., born on Sept.29, 1932, in Mooresville, North Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Apr. 8, 2025.

Fannie Radiance Atkinson

Fannie Radiance Atkinson, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on Apr. 11, 2025, in Plant City, Fla., at the age of 86. Friends and family will be received on Apr. 17, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Calvary Fellowship, 1110 North Gordon Street, Plant City, FL 33563.  A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM.

Wayne Edward Loy

Wayne Edward Loy, a cherished father, brother, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on Apr. 7, 2025, in Plant City, Fla. at the age of 82. Wayne proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army.  Services will be held privately by the family. Online condolences can be made at www.haught.care.

Clyde Gupta

Clyde Gupta, age 67, of Trinidad, entered into rest on Mar. 29, 2025.

James M. Winslow, Sr. (Jimmy)

James M. Winslow, Sr. (Jimmy), 87, of Lakeland, Fla., entered into rest on Apr. 8, 2025.  He was born on Jan. 15, 1938 in Lithia, Fla. to James Byrd and Geneva Bryant Winslow.  He attended and graduated from Pinecrest High school in 1957.  He married Dorothy Anne Page (Dottie) on Sept. 19, 1959, in Seffner, Fla.  He worked for GTE as a Central Office Installer (COE) for 25 years and American Cyanamid as a Heavy Equipment Operator for 11 years.

James (Jimmy) was preceded in death by his parents; James and Geneva Winslow, siblings; Faye Winslow of Lithia, Florida, Maye Winslow of Lithia, Florida, Esther Winslow Sheffield of Mulberry, Fla. and Carole Winslow Heath (Chester) of Valrico, Fla. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Dorothy Anne Page Winslow (Dottie); son, James M. Winslow, Jr. (Marcia) of Mooresville, North Carolina; Granddaughter; Mackenzie Renee Radford (Mike) of Browns Summit, North Carolina, and great grandson; Lucas Winslow Radford of Browns Summit, North Carolina.

A visitation will be on Saturday, Apr. 26,2025 at Wells Memorial, 1903 W. Reynolds Street, Plant City, FL 33563 beginning at 2:00 P.M. and a Memorial Service will follow at 3:00 P.M. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Westminster Lakeland, Loving Care Fund at 16 Lake Hunter Drive, Lakeland, FL 33803, 863-688-5521.

Denise Rena McGuire

Denise Rena McGuire, age 62, passed away peacefully at her home on Apr. 14, 2025. 

The family will receive visitors on Apr. 18, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro. In keeping with Denise’s wishes, no formal memorial service will be held.

Terrie Pamela Judah (Pam Judah)

Terrie Pamela Judah (Pam Judah), 75 Wife, Mother, and Nana, of Plant City, Fla. passed away Apr. 9, 2025, at South Florida Baptist Hospital. Pam was born in Mt. Airy, NC and loved animals, antiquing, hiking in the mountains, fishing, and going to auctions. She is survived by her husband, Bob Judah; daughters Christy Jordan and Janice Crago; son Ashley Goodwin; grandchildren Jason, Zacharie, Julie, Dylan, Michaela, and Jessica; great-grandchildren Devin, Hayden, Maci, Swayzi, Scottie and Jaime; and sister Rachael Whitlow. Pam will be privately honored by her family at a later date.
