Christopher Allen Vorderburg
Christopher Allen Vorderburg passed away peacefully on Mar. 22, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, faith, and family. He is survived by the love of his life, his beloved wife, Janet Vorderburg, with whom he shared 57 wonderful years of marriage to the day—a testament to their enduring bond and commitment
He was a proud and loving father to his daughters, (“Princess”) Diane Vorderburg and (“Queen”) Victoria “Vicki” Strickler, and a cherished father-in-law to Kevin Strickler. Christopher found great joy in his role as a grandfather to Blake and Nicholas “Nick,” who brought immense happiness to his life. He was known as “Mr. 20 Questions” in the family, always wanting to hear every detail of their day.
Though an only child, Christopher was blessed with a deep and meaningful relationship with his brother-in-law, Randy Pritchard, and his wife, Harriet, who embraced him as a brother and remained a constant source of love and support throughout his life.
Christopher was a strong Christian and a godly man, whose faith was evident in his everyday walk. He lived his beliefs through kindness, humility, and unwavering devotion, serving as an example to all who knew him. He never said no to anyone who needed a helping hand, and his generosity touched countless lives. He was incredibly handy, always willing to lend his skills wherever they were needed, and he especially enjoyed working on construction projects for his wife and his church family. In his spare time, he loved to play golf, finding joy in both the game and the fellowship it brought. He also shared with his wife a deep love for travel and adventure, having visited every continent and explored destinations all over the world.
Christopher will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his quiet strength, his servant’s heart, and the kindness and faith he extended to those fortunate enough to know him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
