Amelia ‘Grace’ Davis
Amelia “Grace” Davis, 87, of Dover, Fla., born in Lake Wales on May 27, 1938, entered into eternal rest on June 17, 2025. She was a member of First Baptist Church Dover for 70 years, where she was a former Sunday School Teacher, choir member, WMU leader and Helping Hands coordinator for her church. She loved being a homemaker and her family the most. She also enjoyed sewing, playing tennis and cards, and shopping with her daughter and her friends. Her Sunday School class held a special place in her heart. She was preceded in death by husband of 67 years, Carl Davis; parents, Reverend John and Corrine Dorough; and sister, Peggy Brewer. She is survived by children, Timothy “Tim” Carl Davis (Julia) of Birmingham, Alabama, and Tina Grace Davis Sikes (Steve) of Dover; grandchildren, Walt Davis (Rachel), Grace Ann Davis Ward (Tim), Shane Sikes (Kristen), and Spencer Sikes (Tiffany); 10 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Glenda Raulerson (Robert), and John Dorough. A funeral service will be held Thursday, June 26 at 11:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church Dover, 3223 Gallagher Road, Dover, where the family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 A.M. Graveside committal to follow at Dover Cemetery, Dover.
