A new fire rescue station will be opening in Plant City.
Station 25 belongs to the Hillsborough County Fire Rescue department. The unveiling of the station, a project estimated at $2.3 million, will be on Thursday, June 25, at 2606 E. Trapnell Road at 10 a.m.
The public is encouraged to attend. Refreshments will be available, and the public is invited to take a tour of the new building after the ceremony ends.
Station 25 was formerly located in a 41-year old building near Coronet Road. The new facility is 9,000 square feet and located closer to residents while featuring modern amenities.
Hillsborough County also has plans to add new fire stations in the Brandon, Riverview and Sundance areas, among others.
