Motorcyclist killed by wrong-way driver

UPDATE:

The motorcyclist who was killed in a wrong-way crash has been identified as Claudia E. Alderman, 59, of Plant City.

The investigation is still active. Additional information and charges on vehicle who hit her are pending.

Campos was released on $500 bond Wednesday morning, and is currently being sought by Hillsborough County deputies for vehicular homicide.

A Dover man was arrested this morning after killing a motorcyclist while driving the wrong way on East Reynolds Street.

A police officer saw Osbaldo Campos traveling west on E. Reynolds St. around 11:44 p.m. and gave pursuit. After multiple failed attempts to get Campos, 21, to stop his Nissan coupe, the driver crashed headfirst into a female motorcyclist at the intersection of Thonotosassa Road and Mobley Street.

The motorcyclist, whose identity has not been released, died after being airlifted to Tampa General Hospital.

Campos was arrested for two counts of Failure to Obey a Lawful Order, with further charges pending.
