A memorial ride will be held Saturday, April 4, for a two men who were killed in a Polk County motorcycle.
Johnathan “Johny” Walker, 25, of Plant City, and Christopher Bowmer, 23, of Lakeland, died March 15 after Bowmer made a U-turn in front of Walker. Walker tried to swerve and avoid a collision, but they collided.
Both men leave behind families.
The ride start at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 4, at Silver Dollar Saloon, 107 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard. Food, drinks, a deejay, auction, car and bike wash, bounce house and raffle will be the entertainment.
A route is set up through the mines to show respects. Cars, bikes, scooters and trucks are all welcome to join the ride.
Proceeds from the event will go to their families.
