Coach’s comments: "I think we’ve got a solid team this year. More experienced than last year. We’ve got to play Lake Wales at the district level this weekend. We’re hopeful to get through the district and go to sectionals in Zephyrhills. It’s been a good experience. We’ve known most of these girls for two years through the league. They seem to be coming together as a team. They’re working hard through this heat, even though it’s been a little bit difficult. They really want to do well. We feel like we’ve got really good hitting and one thing we feel is our strength is we’ve got three solid pitchers this year. We think that’ll help us." — Jeff Ness
