Loan program to aid businesses with flooding costs

In an effort to help businesses recover from the severe storms and flooding in the Tampa Bay area, Florida’s Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan Program will be accepting applications through Wednesday, Sept. 30, for loans.

Small businesses with two to 100 employees in Hillsborough County affected by flooding from July 25 through Aug. 3 may apply for short-term loans for $1,000 to $25,000.

The short-term, interest-free loans help bridge the gap between the time damage is incurred and when a business secures other financial resources, such as profits, payments on insurance claims or federal disaster assistance.

Eligibility and information about the loan process and applications can be found at FloridaDisasterLoan.org. Call (813) 204-9267 for more information.
