I can’t tell you how excited I was to just arrive home and find my first copy of the Plant City Observer in my driveway! It is wonderful, and I wish you much success. I’m amazed you are doing this for free. I would have gladly paid for a local paper again.

Love it! Great local — and only local — news about our community and friends. Keep it coming! Great job Felix Haynes and team.

First, allow me to congratulate you on your new position with the Plant City Observer and on the first issue, which my wife and I found of great interest.

My wife, being fourth-generation Plant City native, especially enjoyed the old small-town feel of the publication. In 1992, my wife was crowned queen in Plant City’s Junior Royalty Pageant. We both appreciate the goal of the paper to be focused on the people and the news of Plant City and its citizens.

Barrett R. Smith

Keep up the good work with the paper. It has created a buzz in town, and for the first time in a very long time people — like my wife and me — can’t wait to get our hands on a fresh copy of our local newspaper. Now, for lil’ ol’ Plant City, that says a lot — so, thanks.

Loved the first edition (and) cannot wait to see more!

The first edition of the Plant City Observer was thrown sometime today; I first saw it in mid-afternoon. I read it from front to back and thought the content was very good, very community oriented. No doubt that as other editions follow and you start getting more human interest submissions from readers, the paper’s appeal will continue to grow. Also, your teams learning curve will go up sharply.

Congratulations on a great start.

Just headed up to downtown and picked up a few copies. Great first issue! Congrats!
