Re: My Letter to the Editor about the Truist Bank in Plant City, Florida that was published in the Plant City Observer on July 30, 2026
On August 3, 2026, a woman who works for Truist Bank in Winter Park, FL, called me. She explained to me that she had read my letter to the Editor in the Plant City Observer, and she asked if there was some way to work this situation out, so that I don’t move my account to a different bank. She was sincerely concerned and was very kind to me. I told her that I hoped we could because I have had that account since 1978 (48 years) and all I wanted was for my bank statements to be mailed to my Post Office box.
During our conversation she was professional and personable, a unique talent to be sure. And, when I say that she was sincere, she was. She worked hard throughout her entire day making calls to others to make the arrangements to have my statements mailed to me. At the end of the day, she called to tell me that everything had been taken care of, but if I did not receive my statement when I was supposed to, to call her back.
This graceful, proficient woman told me that Truist Bank cares about their customers. The only thing I’m really sure about here, is that she cares. She went far above and beyond anything I would ever ask of her.
Now it’s wait and see if I start getting my statements again.
