RE: Truist Bank, located at 2318 James L Redman Parkway, Plant City, Florida

About six months ago, my bank statements from Truist stopped being delivered to my post office box. I had to go into the bank to get them. So, about four to five weeks ago I went to the bank to get this taken care of for the long term.

I went into the bank and talked with a nice young man who suggested that I check with the Post Office. I then went to the post office and spoke with a woman about the situation. She was concerned about it, and after thinking for a moment, she asked if I was receiving other forms of mail in the P.O. box. When I replied that I did, she asked if I was receiving that mail. I replied yes. She said then that I needed to go back to the bank.

I went back to the bank, and a caring young woman worked patiently with me, making a telephone call to try and straighten out what we thought was probably a misunderstanding. When we were finished, we thought that everything had been taken care of and I left the bank.

A few weeks later I was dismayed that again my bank statement was not delivered. I went back to Truist to speak with the Branch Manager. To say that was an unpleasant interaction is quite an understatement.

The Branch Manager was unprofessional and unpolished. When I explained to him that I wasn’t getting my bank statements, he stated with annoyance that Truist is no longer mailing bank statements and that everything is done by computer now. I told him I didn’t have a computer. He said, “Then use your phone.” I told him I had a flip phone. He then pointed to the person who had driven me there and said, “What about him?” I said it’s not his account. It’s mine.

The manager then said he had received four similar complaints and that there was nothing he could do. When I told him I would move my money to another bank, he waved his arms and said, “O.K.”

So basically, Truist is bullying their customers around. If you don’t do it their way, then take your money somewhere else. So, you can be certain that I will.
