A Group of Walden Lake Residents Speak Out
Dear Editor:
We are a group of concerned residents from the Walden Lake Community Association who were saddened and confused to learn of the sudden termination of Bette Guarino, our longtime office administrator.
For almost 20 years, Bette was a steady, familiar presence that residents depended on. She ran the WLCA office with professionalism, patience, and ease. Bette always put residents and the Walden Lake community first, whether she was answering questions, solving problems, or helping new board members understand our community.
She handled many responsibilities, including helping to onboard and train new directors for both the master association and our more than 30 sub-associations. Her knowledge and dedication brought stability to a system that changes often.
It is deeply troubling to see someone with 18 years of loyal service dismissed without notice, without cause, and without recognition or gratitude.
We want Bette to know that many people in this community value, respect, and appreciate her. We also urge the WLCA Board to think carefully about the loss of such a knowledgeable and dedicated professional.
Some decisions deserve careful reconsideration.
Sincerely,
Concerned Residents of WLCA
