The Plant City Times & Observer traveled with Kathy McNelis by plane, car and ferry boat to the town of Ocean Ridge, located on Fire Island, N.Y. She was joined there by several of her longtime high school friends for “the girls” getaway weekend. “After disembarking from the ferry, the photo was taken of Pamela Anderson, left, Kathy Zagaja, McNelis and Gina LoBello, who graciously hosted the long weekend retreat at her summer home,” McNelis said. “This relaxing Atlantic Ocean beachfront community is only accessible by ferry, with cars and bicycles prohibited on the island. We enjoyed the sounds of crashing waves on the beach, beautiful sunsets, laughing and reminiscing about high school days (except those yearbook pictures!) and catching up with how our children and families are doing. A fun time was had by all.”
