Washington:
Krissy Russell took the Plant City Observer Washington. When weather conditions didn’t allow for a photo in front of Mt Ranier, she got this one instead! It is at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington. She and her husband went to meet grandbaby number five. Their son-in-law serves in the US Army.
Joint Base Lewis-McChord is located in the heart of the Pacific Northwest region near the city of Lakewood, just 10 minutes from Tacoma and 40 minutes from Seattle. It is the Department of Defense’s premier military installation on the West Coast. The joint base combines the Army and the Air Force. This operation began in October 2010 from the consolidation of Fort Lewis and McChord Air Force Base; it is one of 12 joint bases created by the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure Commission
