Four involved in crash on Alexander Street

A traffic accident on Alexander Street Friday, Oct. 9, left four people with injuries.

A 2004 Ford pickup was leaving St. Clement Catholic Church and traveling west when the driver, Jerri Hatcher, 48, of Plant City, failed to yield at a right of way and was hit by a 1993 Nissan pickup truck traveling north on North Alexander Street.

The Nissan, driven by Tony Coppage, 62, of Dade City, hit the Ford on the passenger side, which caused the Ford to roll onto the driver’s side.

Hatcher and her passenger, Julie Rowell, 48, of Plant City, were taken to a nearby hospital. Coppage and his passenger, Ronnie McDuffie, 65, of Dade City, were also taken to a hospital. It is believed that Coppage may have sustained more serious injuries, although no injuries are thought to be life-threatening, according to the Plant City Police Department.

The story will be updated as more details come forward. Charges may be pending.
