The Leto Falcons defeated the Plant City Raiders 62-48.
The game started with the Raiders winning the tip-off, but both teams turned it over on their opening possessions. The Falcons got to the free throw line and went 1-2. The Raiders turned it over and the Falcons got their first field goal of the game. Simeon Hogan responded with the Raiders’ first basket of the game. The Falcons turned an offensive rebound into a nice put-back. After another basket in the paint by the Falcons, the Raiders were forced to call a timeout to regroup. They were down 7-2. Akeim Young helped the Raiders get on the board with a nice floater. The Falcons went back to the free throw line and went 1-2. The Falcons continued attacking the paint and got a layup thanks to a cut down the baseline. Angel Ortiz pulled up for a nice midrange for the Raiders on the following play. The Falcons hit a floater of their own on the following end. The Falcons stole it and got a layup to end the first quarter with the away team up 14-6.
The Falcons started the second quarter hot with a nice baseline 3-pointer, followed by a Raiders turnover, followed by a Falcons turnover. Akeim Young then hit a 3-pointer to match the 3. The Falcons hit a mid-range, but Simeon Young had a nice basket. Akeim Young got an offensive rebound and put back for the Raiders. On the next possession, the Falcons got to the free throw line and went 1-2. The Raiders turned it over, and the Falcons got back to the free throw line, where he went 2/2. The Raiders quickly found Akeim Young for a fast-break layup. The Falcons pulled up for a nice 3-pointer to extend the lead. Hogan had an awesome block for the Raiders, and they got a fastbreak layup. The Falcons responded with a 3-pointer to end the half with the Falcons up 30-20.
The second half started with Akeim Young hitting a 3-pointer for the Raiders. The Falcons responded with a floater, but then the Raiders found Hogan wide open for a layup.
