Elderly man shot in robbery attempt

An elderly man was shot during a robbery attempt, after pulling into his driveway on Allen Street Thursday, May 5. 

At about 11:50 p.m., the 72-year-old victim exited his vehicle. Three male suspects wearing ski masks exited what was believed to be a black vehicle and shouted at the victim, "Give it up," as they approached him.

As the victim ran toward his house to escape, one or more of the suspects fired multiple times. The shots struck the victim, who is now hospitalized.
