What accomplishment are you most proud of from your high school years, and why?
I am most proud of staying committed to my goals and finishing high school strong. It showed me that hard work and consistency can pay off.
Was there a teacher, mentor, or experience that had a major impact on your success?
Mr. Stwan encouraged me and believed in my abilities, which had a major impact on my success. His support helped me stay motivated, especially when things felt difficult.
What’s something people might be surprised to learn about you outside of academics?
People may be surprised to know I have interests and hobbies outside of school that help me relax and be creative. These activities helped me become more balanced and confident.
How did you balance schoolwork with extracurriculars, jobs, sports, or personal life?
I balanced everything by staying organized and making sure I used my time wisely. It was not always easy, but planning ahead helped me manage my responsibilities.
What was the most challenging moment of high school, and how did you overcome it?
The most challenging moment was dealing with stress and trying to keep up with everything at once. I overcame it by asking for help, staying focused, and taking things one step at a time.
If you could give one piece of advice to incoming freshmen, what would it be?
My advice would be to stay focused but also enjoy the experience. High school goes by quickly, so make good choices and do not be afraid to ask for help.
What are your plans after graduation, and what excites you most about the future?
My next plans are to attend the University of Florida and get a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, while in the AFROTC program, to eventually join the Air Force. What excites me most is becoming more independent and building the future I want.
Looking back, what do you think truly defines a successful high school experience?
A successful high school experience is not just about grades, but also about growth and learning from challenges. It means leaving high school more prepared, confident, and ready for what comes next.
